Officer Nelson Perdomo

The New Jersey County Jail Wardens Association
is heartbroken at the passing of a 19 year veteran of the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Officer Perdomo, 44 years old, died on Thursday, April 9, 2020 from Covid-19. He was admitted to Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge after experiencing a high fever and weakness and was later placed on a ventilator. Nelson,  leaves behind his wife and three children.

"He was a hero, a friend and a brother to us all and will be missed dearly." said Brandon Aponde, a coleague of Perdomo. "It is hard to find the words to express how devastating this all seems and no words can ever express to his wife Fanny and to his three kids Emma, Maya and Tito, how sorry we are or how sad we feel for this untimely and tragic loss."
